Part 2 of the Impact Abroad Toolkit, this course explores the walls between us and those we serve. Social divides, be they race, class, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, able-bodiedness, etc., cut us off from our potential service partners, limiting our effectiveness.

Learners completing this course will be able to:
-Recognize the existence of social divides present within their local and global communities and service placements
-Explain how social divides impede effective service partnership
-Articulate strategies for navigating and bridging social divides
